This article says that meatless meals are becoming a popular trend among diners.
John Hopkins Bloomberg School of Health is promoting the concept of Meatless Mondays in an attempt to get people to skip meat in favor of healthier options. The appeal of this is taking off as people realize that meatless meals do not have to consist of limp raw vegetables and dry salads.
Many restaurants have started making high end meals out of fresh produce to entice those who are interested in meatless meals. And as more people express an interest in these meals they are becoming more prevalent on menus.

With the economy still not doing very well and the holidays quickly approaching, many businesses are seeing customers tightening their belts, starting with coffee sales. This article says that coffee houses are seeing sales decrease as more and more people are making their morning brew at home.

Goodbye Zima

The Associated Press is announcing that MillerCoors will no longer be producing Zima. The bar staple will be available to distributors through December.
The company is recommending Sparks beverage products be used to replace Zima. It will remain to be seen how this impacts bars across the country. Will you have to change your bar menus?

MSN has an interesting article today about the healthiest restaurants in the country. It is really a great look at what restaurants are trying to do something to help keep America healthy. Check it out here.
MSN looked at 43 chain restaurants with the help of a panel of experts to come up with their list of the healthiest restaurants. They looked at nutrition information, what was offered on the kid's menu, and portion sizes.
