For today’s blog post, I’d like to point out some really fun, interesting websites for food people (restaurateurs, especially). First—Eggbeater, Shuna Fish Lydon’s personal blog. Shuna is an experienced chef, and that comes through in her writing—which is at once irreverent and compassionate. Her collection of posts includes plenty of mouthwatering food photos and even some great little poems. Tip: Scroll down her list of recent blogs to find a compelling explanation of what it really means to be a sous chef.
And a recent Internet "find" for me is MonkeyDish.com. The site was created by Restaurant Business Magazine, and the industry expertise shows. They’ve got in-depth articles and mini videos that are well done and truly useful. The writing and the style of the site is youthful and down-to-earth. And MonkeyDish features a customizable homepage—choose your content to suit your needs.
