Choosing the Right Bar Equipment Part 4 – Beer Equipment
Choosing the right bar equipment is essential to your business. In a series of articles I am going to focus on what I feel are the four most essential categories of bar equipment: bar refrigeration, bar blenders, bar sinks and beer equipment.
In this fourth bar equipment article let’s discuss beer equipment. Beer equipment for your bar would include beer pumps, draft arms and faucets, beer taps, CO2 regulators, drip trays and beer fittings and hardware. Ensuring you have all of the necessary beer-related bar equipment is key to a smoothly operated bar.
If you plan to offer draft beer on tap, a beer draft arm or draft beer tower is one piece of bar equipment that you will need. Available with a single faucet or multiple faucets, beer draft towers help to provide a clean and orderly look to your bar. Picnic pumps are great for catered events, tailgates and parties, as they allow beer to be dispensed directly from the keg.
CO2 regulators as well as beer fittings and hardware are all back-of-the-house bar equipment items that play an essential role in keeping your bar operational. It’s generally a good idea to keep a spare parts inventory of some bar equipment items such as beverage tubing, shanks, and clamps.
