Restaurant furniture is a key component to any restaurant or bar. It often represents ten to fifteen percent of the total restaurant cost and is used by every customer who walks through the door. The style of your furniture is often a centerpiece of the décor or theme of the bar or restaurant. Most furniture purchases are based on style and price, but are you getting what you pay for? I believe the quality and durability are just as important as the style or price of your furniture. Commercial furniture quality can be broken down into three areas; materials, construction and finish. Your salesperson should be knowledgeable about the furniture they sell and be able to answer any questions you have. This blog series will discuss in detail many aspects of commercial furniture construction, what materials should be used and why and how the finish affects the durability, cleanablity and wear of furniture.
